Interactive exhibit design and fabrication for museums and science centers
Our newest completed exhibit was
delivered to the Greensboro Children's
Museum early September 2006.  The new
interactive has been very well received!

Airsploration features sixteen
interactives, each with its own button
positioned on the eight foot diameter
stainless steel base.  Fifty-six clear plastic
tubes tower twelve feet from the base with
sixteen of those presently "active".  When a
visitor presses a button, ping pong balls
spring to life spinning in every increasing
velocity and rising in the tube. Another
button is pushed and foil confetti shoots up
the tube and then gently falls to back in a
crazy colorful snowstorm.
Ribbons twirl and dance to the delight of smiling faces young and old alike. Amazement abounds as
feathers fly and bubbles rise in two of the liquid filled tubes.  An animated flower blossoms and then wilts
away in a whimsical game of peek-a-boo.

The remaining forty tubes are filled with a delightful mixture of streamers, dolls, toys, and brightly colored
foil and paper.  Hundreds of bright multicolored LED lights beckon each new visitor with twenty four
exciting sequences.

Airsploration is an exciting interactive exhibit that appeals to a wide audience. It is completely
upgradeable and scalable to fit most any space from a cavernous rotunda to the smallest of museums.

With the addition of a PC interface the exhibit can be called upon to perform a whimsical sequence or
play interactive games similar to musical chairs. The possibilities are nearly endless.
Construction

The exhibit is fabricated from CNC (computer numerically controlled) cut three quarter plywood.  The
entire exhibit is clad in alloy 316 food-grade stainless steel. Buttons are industrial grade arcade style as
are the  mechanical components that bring the exhibit to life.
